1. What is Form CAA 8?
This form is filed pursuant to section 232 and rule 21 of The Companies (Compromises, Arrangements and Amalgamations) Rules, 2016. As per the provision every company in relation to which the order is made shall, until the completion of the scheme, file a statement in form CAA 8 and within 210 days from the end of the financial year as may be prescribed with the Registrar duly certified by a chartered accountant or a cost accountant or a company secretary in practice indicating whether the scheme is being complied with in accordance with the orders of the Tribunal or not.
2. Why is it important?
a. It is a statutory requirement
b. It helps the company and other interested parties in tracking the progress of the scheme.
