1. What is Form I?
Form I is filed pursuant to section 3 of the Industrial Employment ( Standing Order ) act, 1947 and Rule 4 of the Industrial Employment ( Standing Order ) Central rules, 1950. According to the section, the employer shall submit to the Certifying Officer five copies of the draft standing orders proposed by him for adoption in his industrial establishment within 6 months from the date the act becomes applicable to them. It shall be accompanied by a statement giving prescribed particulars of the workmen employed in the industrial establishment including the name of the trade union, if any, to which they belong.
2. Why is it important?
a. It is a mandatory requirement as prescribed by law.
b. This form contains the format in which the application for enclosing the draft order and the statement is to be annexed.
