1. What is Form M Rule 72?

This form is related to notice of lockout to be given by the employer caring for public utility service and shall be in form M as per section 72 of the industrial dispute act 1947. This notice shall be addressed by the employer to the registered trade union on the public board and a copy of the notice shall be given to the secretary of the union.

2. Why is it Important?

This form is important to notify the workmen or the trade union about the lockout by the employer of the establishment under rule 72 of the industrial dispute act 1947, and as per the rule, the notice has to be displaced in such a place or board at the entrance where it is clearly visible to the trade union and shall be in form M.
