1. What is Form GNL 4 ? 

eForm GNL-4 is required to be filed pursuant to Rule 10 of the Companies (Registration offices and Fees) Rules, 2014. As per the rule, The Registrar shall examine or cause to be examined every application or e-Form or document required or authorised to be filed or delivered under the Act and rules made thereunder for approval, registration, taking on record or rectification by the Registrar, as the case may be and shall give its decision in 30 days. 

2. Why is it important? 

This form contains the format in which additional information can be filed by the applicant as asked by the register after reviewing all the forms , documents etc. Where the Registrar, finds it necessary to call for further information he shall give intimation of such information called for or defects or incompleteness, by email on the last intimated e-mail address of the person or the company. The applicant shall file the additional information in GNL 4.
