We all know that it will be better if both the genders - men and women - contribute equally to the development of the country. It was too rosy a picture to be true with the fact that sexual harassment existed in India, and it's existence at the workplace has been one of the biggest hurdles in achieving that noble objective.
Sexual Harassment is known as a form of gender discrimination, which is violative of the "Right to Equality" and "Right to Life" guaranteed under Article 14, 15 and 21 of the Constitution of India. Sexual harassment at the workplace creates a hostile working environment for women which discourages women from participating at work, adversely affects their social and economic empowerment and the goal of inclusive growth.
