1. What is a Termination Letter ?
A termination letter is an official letter given to the employee by the employer intimidating him about the termination of the services of the employee in the company. Termination letter officially discharges the employees from their duties towards the company from the date as mentioned in the letter. The letter contains the date of termination, the reason for termination , rights and responsibilities of the employee and company post termination and the full and final amount the employee is liable to receive from the company, if any .
2. Why is it important ?
A. Termination letter serves as proof that the employee is no longer associated with the company and the company cannot be held liable for employee actions.
B. Termination letters help employees in looking for other job opportunities without the burden of being attached to one company.
